Transitional
housing at Vital Options provides housing, meals and support
services for up to one year for dual diagnosed women.
The transitional housing program which includes gardening
is available for 8 women with co-occuring disorders (mental
health
and substance abuse).
Support services include education
services, mental health services, substance abuse treatment,
employment assistance, health care, case management and daily
living skills.
Services are provided by licensed social workers and other
human service or health care professionals.
Co-occurring disorders or dual diagnosis refers to an individual
that has both a mental disorder and substance abuse problem.
